WWF-India, MSO Programme July – December 2014.



                 Nature Walks

Participants should carry water, brunch, rainwear and cap (according to the season). Binoculars and field guides are optional. Participants have to purchase their own entry tickets and bear transport expense unless specified. Prior registration is compulsory for each programme. July 6, Sunday – Korigad near Lonavla

Charges: Rs.500/- for supporters and Rs.1000/- for guest. This includes travel from Dadar station to Dadar station (E) and WWF-India expertise. Participants should carry umbrellas/rainwear, water and food. We will be walking on a hilly terrain.
Meeting point: Bus will leave at 07.00 am from Dadar T.T. Corner of Swami Narayan Temple and come back by 7pm subjected to traffic conditions.
Registration : Before 24th June, 2014.

July 20, Sunday – Manpada

Charges: Free for supporters and Rs. 100/- for guest. Entry fee to Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) should borne by the participants (Rs.30).
Meeting point : Manpada entrance of SGNP at 8.30am sharp. We will be walking on a slightly hilly terrain. Participants should carry umbrellas/rainwear, water and food.
Registration : Before 17th July, 2014.

August 3, Sunday – Karnala Bird Sanctuary

Charges: Rs.500/- for supporters and Rs.1000/- for guest. This includes travel from Dadar station to Dadar station and WWF-India expertise. Participants should carry umbrellas/rainwear, water and food. We will be walking on a hilly terrain. Please note the focus will be on biodiversity, we may not reach the fort.
Meeting point: Bus will leave at 06.30 am from Dadar T.T. Corner of Swami Narayan Temple and come back by 7pm subjected to traffic condition.
Registration: Before 24th July, 2014.

Participants should carry umbrellas/rainwear, water and food.
Meeting point: Mini train ticket window of Neral Station (central railway station) at 08.30 am sharp.
Registration: Before 11th September, 2014.

October 5, Sunday – Tree trail at Veer Mata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan (Byculla zoo)

Charges: Free for supporters and Rs.100/- for guest. Entry fee to the zoo should borne by the participants. Meeting point: Entrance of the zoo.
Registration: Before 1st October, 2014.



November 16, Sunday – Bhandup pumping station

Charges: Free for a supporter and Rs. 100/- for guest.
Meeting point: Nahur railway station (east). Time will be informed later. Participants have to bear local transport.  Participants should carry their own water and food
Registration: Before 13st November, 2014.

December 7, Sunday – Sagar Vihar garden, Vashi.

Charges: Free for a supporter and Rs. 50/- for other nature enthusiast.
Meeting point: Entry gate of the Sagar vihar garden at 08.00 am sharp.
Registration: Before 3rd December, 2014.

A Nature camp is organised to Matheran for supporters and guests. The camp cost is Rs. 4250/- for WWF-India supporters and Rs 6000/- for other nature enthusiast. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation Neral stn. to Neral Stn . Registration – Before 28th July, 2014. September 20-21, Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary, Shahapur

A Nature camp is organised to Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary, Shahapur for supporters and guests. The camp cost is Rs. 3250/- for WWF-India supporters and Rs 3750/- for other nature enthusiast. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation. Registration – Before 5th September, 2014. For details please contact the WWF-India Maharashtra State Office, Mumbai.
Bus will leave from Dadar TT at 6.30am Sharp. Corner of Swami Narayan Temple.

October 11-12, Nature Camp to Aswali range of Forest, Gholwad

A Nature camp is organised to the Aswali range of Forest, Gholwad for supporters and Guests. The camp cost is Rs. 4150/- for WWF-India supporters and Rs 4750/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation. Stay at The Jungle farm. Registration – Before 24th September, 2014. November 1-8, Nature Camp to Sri Venkateswara National Park, Kaudinya Wildlife Sanctuary and Pulicat Lake

A Nature camp is organized to Sri Venkateswara National Park, Kaudinya Wildlife Sanctuary and Pulicat Lake for supporters and guests. The camp cost is Rs. 15,000/- for WWF-India supporters and Rs 17,000/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation. Stay type: 2/3 sharing basis/Dormitory. Registration –Before 26th August, 2014. For details please contact the WWF-India Maharashtra State Office, Mumbai.

Journey Details:
1st November (Saturday), 2014: Departure by 11301 Udyan express from Mumbai CST at 08.05hrs. Reach Bangalore Cant at 08.10hrs on 2nd November,2014.
7th November(Friday), 2014:Departure by 12760 Charminar Express from Sullurpeta at 6.25hrs. Reach Chennai Central at 08.15hrs on 7th November,2014. And Depart from Chennai Central on 7th November, 2014 (Friday) by 11042 Mumbai Express at 11.55hrs. Reach Mumbai CST at 13.45hrs on 8th November, 2014 (Saturday).

December 26-31, Nature Camp to Glory of Allapalli, Bhamragadh wildlife sanctuary and Hemalkasa

A Nature camp is organized to Glory of Allapalli, Bhamragadh wildlife sanctuary and Hemalkasa for supporters and other Nature lovers. The camp cost is Rs. 9,000/- for WWF-India supporters and Rs 10,500/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation. Stay type: 2/3 sharing basis/Dormitory.  Registration - Before 17th October, 2014.

Journey Details:
26th December (Friday), 2014: Departure by 12289 Nagpur Duronto from Mumbai CST at 20.15hrs. Reach Nagpur at 7.20hrs on 27th December, 2014.
30th December (Tuesday), 2014: Departure by 12290 NGP CSTM DURONTO from Nagpur. at 20.40hrs. Reach Mumbai CST 07.55hrs on 31st December, 2014.

Rules & Regulations to be followed at WWF Camps & Trails


1.      Nature Camps conducted by WWF-India are educational camps and not luxury camps or picnics.
2.      Basic necessities will be provided like simple and wholesome vegetarian food (tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner), clean accommodation and toilets. During visits to remote forest areas participants will have to use open air toilets and rough it out.
3.      Do not carry any music system or walkman, etc. in forest area.
4.      Do not carry any inflammables and do not light fire in the forest area.
5.      Do not tease any wild animal or destroy habitat of the Park or Sanctuary.
6.      During multiple accommodation facilities at the camp site participants must adjust to them and no separate accommodation will be provided. The group leader will decide the room allotments and the participants in the room, no alterations will be done.
7.      Participants have to adhere to the given itinerary and no alterations by the participants will be entertained.
8.      Detailed program of the following day will be briefed one day in advance.
9.      Please carry your personal medicines and toiletries and clothes according to climate and season (do not wear red, white or fluorescent colours).
10.  Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
11.  Participants must follow strict discipline and no misbehavior will be tolerated any participant found doing so may be requested to leave the camp.
12.  Participants should take care of their belongings & valuable articles & will be solely responsible for them.
13.  No portage will be provided.
14.  Mineral water will not be provided unless mentioned in the itinerary.
15.  WWF-India will not be responsible for any mishap or catastrophe.
16.  Participants should strictly follow the instructions of the group leader.
17.  Wear comfortable walking shoes and never wear any high heels foot wear.
18.  Please carry Water bottle, Cap, Torch, Mosquito repellents, Personal medicines and toiletries.
19.  Do not wear any kind of perfume or deodorant while in the sanctuary.
20.  If a camp is canceled by WWF-India for reasons such as lack of enough participation, unless any expense is incurred, a 100 % refund will be given. Participants who cancel their seats prior to cancellation of the camp will not get a complete refund. Their cancellation will follow our regular cancellation procedures.
